GFA Board Bios

Fred Corcoran

Fred is the Executive Director of Golf For All and one of its founders.

Fred has extensive experience working with non-profits including founding the Municipal Bond Club of Boston Charity Auction, serving as treasurer and on the board of Little Brothers of the Elderly in Boston, and overseeing fundraising efforts for Guiding Eyes for the Blind.

An outstanding and accomplished tournament player, Fred was a member at historic clubs in Massachusetts including Essex County Club and the Charles River Country Club. He has a rich personal and family history in golf. His uncle and namesake, Fred Corcoran, is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, having been the Tournament Director of the PGA and cofounder of the LPGA. Fred’s father, John, and his uncle, Bill Corcoran, both succeeded Fred as Executive Secretary of the Massachusetts Golf Association. The Corcoran family tenure extended over four decades at the MGA (now Mass Golf), among the first and most influential state golf associations in the nation. In 1999, Fred authored and produced a guide for the greatest Ryder Cup in history hosted by The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts. The booklet won special recognition from The Boston Globe and The Massachusetts Golfer for its historic and editorial content and excellence.

Fred is a graduate of St. Sebastian’s School and Harvard College and attended Boston College Law School. When not hosting a clinic or donating his time and energy, you can find Fred on the range in search of the perfect swing. Fred resides in Ashland, Massachusetts.

Bob Beach

Bob is the Director of Golf for Golf For All.

He has been a class A member of the Professional Golfers’ Association of America since 1985.

For Bob, life will always be about giving back. His charitable, lifelong work and free clinics with veterans and special needs golfers is legendary. “The benefit to me has been it has made me a much better teacher. It allows you to take a complex game and make it very simple.”

His initiation into golf began as a caddy at the prestigious Oakley Country Club in Watertown, MA, where he received a Francis Quimet Scholarship allowing him to attend Norwich University (VT).

In 1996 Beach received the New England Section of PGA’s Junior Golf Leader Award. He was recognized as the NEPGA Teacher of the Year in 2005. Bob was named the top golf instructor in Massachusetts by Golf Digest for 2011-2012. He is also the inaugural recipient of the NEPGA Patriot Award, which is presented to a PGA professional who personifies patriotism through the game of golf and demonstrates unwavering commitment and dedication to the men and women who have valiantly served and protected the United States of America. Bob retired in 2018 after working at Braintree Municipal Golf Club for 31 years including 28 years as the head professional.

Bob’s passion and joy for the game along with an innate ability to make a difference for others is what makes him unique and such a valuable member of GFA.

Bob lives with his wife, Cathleen.

John Sizing

John Sizing is the principal of JS Publication Design.

JSPD provides innovative art direction and design solutions for higher education, business, corporate, and nonprofit clients that defines and strengthens every client’s brand and reflects the character and principles that inspire and guide their mission. John leads and cultivates a positive, productive environment based on intellectual honesty, collaboration, and shared responsibility.

When he’s not working at JSPD or on his swing, John enjoys Mass at the basilica, listening to Fred’s stories, live music, looking at the stars, and a cold beer with friends at the campfire.

John is a proud husband and father and lives in Wellesley, Massachusetts with his beautiful wife, Laura, and their six, talented children.

Jesse Menachem

Jesse Menachem, who previously served as the Massachusetts Golf Association’s Director of Rules & Competitions, became the seventh Executive Director of the Association in October of 2013. Effective January 1, 2018, Jesse now oversees Mass Golf, the newly branded and combined organization by way of the merger between the Massachusetts Golf Association and Women’s Golf Association of Massachusetts.

Originally from Framingham, MA, Jesse was a Francis Ouimet Scholar who attended Indiana University from 2004-2008. He was initially hired as a USGA PJ Boatwright, Jr. Intern in 2005 and continued in that role for three consecutive summer terms. Upon graduating from IU, Jesse became a full-time member of Mass Golf’s staff as the Manager of Championships & Member Services.

“I am thrilled to join the GFA team with our collective efforts to grow interest and participation in golf. We have a tremendous opportunity to onboard new golfers by way of programming, activities and collaborative events across the state of Massachusetts.”

Jesse resides in Needham, Massachusetts, with his wife Stephanie and their three children.

Jerry Donovan

Jerry is a cofounder of Golf For All, resident GFA ambassador, and a guiding light and force for many in life. He has worked tirelessly to help expand Golf For All to reach more people and bring the therapeutic experience of golf to everyone who can benefit.

Jerry graduated from Catholic Memorial High School in 1979 where he was an avid hockey player. After graduation, he worked for Boston Gas for over 20 years holding a number of positions. Jerry suffered a serious spinal cord injury in 1999 leaving him in a coma as a T-6 paraplegic.

His injury has rarely slowed him down and being in a wheelchair does not limit him from living the life he desires. Jerry continues to lead a very active and fulfilling life. Currently, Jerry is working with newly paralyzed people helping them to adjust to life in a wheelchair at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston.

Jerry’s passion for life and love of golf is second to none. He enjoys introducing others with similar challenges to the game of golf. Jerry believes in keeping both physically and mentally fit and can be found working out regularly at Spaulding himself. When not working out or helping with a Golf For All clinic, he can be found playing a round with friends using an adaptive vehicle called a ParaGolfer.

Randy Rogers

Randy Rogers is a partner in the CPA firm of Samet & Company in Chestnut Hill and valuable GFA contributor, serving on the board for years. Randy has been an active and passionate golfer for decades. He began playing on Cape Cod at age 12 and has never stopped. An accomplished player and proud member at the historic Brae Burn Country Club in Newton, MA, Randy won the Club Championship in 2004 in convincing style. After a debilitating stroke in 2006, Randy returned to the game as a one-handed golfer, continuing to enjoy the sport more than ever. He is a great inspiration to all fellow golfers and golf enthusiasts everywhere.

Randy lives in Medfield, Massachusetts, with his wife, Anne Marie.

Dr. Christopher Robinson, MD, PhD

Dr. Christopher Robinson, MD, PhD (“Dr. Chris”) attended Georgetown University, where he completed a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. He completed his MD-PhD at the Tri-Institutional MD-PhD Program at Weill Cornell Medical College, Rockefeller University, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where he discovered in collaboration with Dr. Charles Rice, the 2020 Nobel Prize in Medicine, and Dr. Shuibing Chen a new anti-viral medication for Zika virus during the Zika virus epidemic. He is now completing his training as a chronic pain physician-scientist at Harvard with research focused primarily on developing new chronic pain therapeutics.

Though Dr. Chris is no golf expert, he loves how being on the green can be healing and calming for all. As a physician-scientist, Dr. Chris hopes to provide better pain relief to all, especially for our Veterans who made his dream of becoming a physician-scientist true because they fought for his freedom. He wants not even physical pain to limit anyone from getting on or back onto the green so they all can enjoy the beauty of Golf and the outdoors. He is honored to be a member of Golf For All.

Tim Allik

Tim Allik has been creating content and executing social media, content marketing, and public relations campaigns for non-profit and commercial organizations and individuals for 15 years. Earlier in his career, he worked in online, print, radio and television news for outlets including The Boston Globe, New York Times Digital, The Christian Science Monitor, NPR, and WBUR.

Tim produces content in a volunteer capacity for the Golf For All website and social media accounts.

He lives in Natick, Massachusetts, with his wife, Marjorie.

Cameron Bartolomeo

Cameron Bartolomeo is a graduate of Xavier High School in Middletown, Connecticut and is graduating from Bentley University in the spring of 2024 with a major in finance and a minor in law.

He is a member of Bentley Men’s Lacrosse team and is a Division 2 All-American, a member of Bentley University Chess Club, and an incoming Operations Associate at Fidelity Capital Markets.

Cameron has been surrounded by the game of golf for his whole life. He grew up on the  Hunter Golf Course in Meriden, Connecticut and played in the Lyman Orchards PGA Jr. League in middle school. He became focused on lacrosse in high school and college but has come back to golf with a reinvigorated passion.

“As a Golf For All volunteer, the program has quickly become my favorite hour of the week by a mile! There is no better feeling than seeing the joy on each golfer’s face and sharing that moment with them.”

Michael Conrad

Michael ConradMike Conrad is Massachusetts native who was born in Worcester and raised in Northborough. He graduated with honors from St. Johns High School, and attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he received a B.S. and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering, an MBA, and where he continues to pursue a combined Ph.D. in several engineering and science fields.

Mike has been employed at Raytheon since 2003. Mike also serves on the board of The Urban Missionaries Of Our Lady of Hope in Worcester.

Mike offers a valuable perspective on Golf For All’s adaptive golf programs and services, having suffered a spinal cord injury in 2010 while downing a tree on his property.

Jake Quinn

Jake Quinn of Golf For All
Jake Quinn is from Berkley, Massachusetts. Jake graduated from the Bridgewater State University EXCEL Program in 2024. He has been a part of Golf For All for 8 years. His hobbies include watching and playing sports.
